Have You Heard These Words: Twitter, Tweet, Tweeting

February 9th, 2010

Have You Heard These Words…..Twitter, TWEET, TWEETING, Internet Marketing, Making Money, Home Based income, or blogging for income?
Hi my name is Tom and I am a 40 year ancient married father of four and I have been hearing for the last several months about TWITTER.It is all over the news as well as the internet. Being a curous member of the Generation X I have started to look at several ways to increase my income. I am in the securities industry and well as we all know the market has had some huge drops in 2008 and 2009. Recently, I chose to take the plunge and I opened an account. At first there really did not seem to be much to it.If you look or Google you find tons of information that will just spin your head right off your neck! Well I am a kind of gotta have it now kinda guy and with family, and work, I just don’t have the time to hunt down all the info.Recently I learned how cool HOW TO videos are and have been learning from some fantastic videos out there on Internet marketing as well as social marketing.Videos are the best learning tools that I have found. With that said, I came across The Twitter Traffic Machine, by a guy named Bill Crosby. At fist I found nothing but then realized I was typing in Bill COSBY who is neither a blogger or white bald guy with a sense of humor for that matter.
“The Twitter Traffic Machine” is a system that can build you a following of possibly 16,000 + followers in as small as 90 days.Currently Bill Crosby’s being followed by OVER 28,000 people as of 4/13/2009.The reason I looked at this opportunity is for the sheer traffic numbers that are possible. Imagine have a list of 10,000 people you can instantly give a link to.The possibilities seemed awesome.Well, I bought Bill’s product and guess what, it does what it says! Like I said earlier I like videos to learn internet marketing and how to stuff. Not only does this have videos but there is an ACTUAL GAME PLOT.This plot shows you how to duplicate his success.
I found Bill Crosby’s “Twitter Traffic Machine” so simple to know and implement. You just place the thing on autopilot and watch it build, making you more money daily. And the price is so reasonably low, I spent more yesterday taking the wife and kids to dinner . The huge thing for me with internet products is this A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! If you are not satisfied, FOR ANY REASON he has a 60 day, money back guarantee! I reckon you owe it to yourself to check out and look at the videos on his info page. This I product and strategy I believe is going to be the marketing tool you’ve been looking for to skyrocket your traffic and sales! Just one word of advise, don’t show your age and say you twatted, heard that on a newscast and cracked me up.
Excellent luck all

A Few Things of Google PageRank

February 9th, 2010

Many Bloggers try hard to reach a high PageRank by a high PageRank there will be a lot of benefit to the site / blog, one of other benefit is that it brings some money to your website and can make your efforts valuable. But it is not simple to get a high PageRank, google implements logarithmic scale from one level of PageRank to the next level. Talking about PageRank, emphasizing to links structure than content, to improve PageRank we have to know what is the PageRank and links among pages that can influence the PageRank.

Understanding The Google PageRank

PageRank is a method that used by google to measure the importance of page on the web. The PageRank is different with rank system to sort relevan web to query but PageRank combined with rank system and text-matching techniques used by google to retrieve pages that relevant to the user query.

PageRank considers the links among pages, if the web www.enginecarts.com has been linked from www.ponbiss.com,  google will consider a link from ponbiss as a “vote” to enginecarts, vote from one page to another giving certain amount to another is a small less than its own PageRank value (its own value * 0.85). This value is shared equally between all the pages that it links to,  number 0,85 is a damping factor is used in google system.

Let’s take a look at the PageRank formula, that calculates a PageRank of page

PR(A) = (1- d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + …+PR(tn)/C(tn) PR(A) is a PageRank of page PR(t1) is a PageRank of page t1 that link to page A C(t1) is the total of outbound links that had by (t1)

Imagine if enginecarts was linked by ponbiss that would have PR4 and 9 other outbound links, so based on the formula, the result of calculation is :

PR (enginecarts) =(1-0.85)+0.85*(4/10) PR (enginecarts)=0.15+0.85*(0.4) PR(enginecarts)=0.15+0.34 PR(enginecarts)=0.49

So enginecart will get some PR addition  0.49 after linked by a page with PR4 and having 9 outbound links  Another example if enginecarts was linked by ponbiss that would have PR 8, that would have 15 outbound links, so the total is 16 outbound links.  So addition that enginecart would get is :

PR (enginecarts) =(1-0.85)+0.85*(8/16)

PR (enginecarts)=0.15+0.85*(0.5)

PR(enginecarts)=0.15+0.425

PR(enginecarts)=0.575

We can get a conclusion as vital consideration not only PageRank of ww.ponbiss.com but also amount of outbound links of www.ponbiss.com

Inbound Link

Inbound link is a hyperlink that points to a your site’s page from another site’s page. When visitors click on this particular link, he will be redirected to site’s page. In turn is beneficial to increase website traffic. The more inbound links your website has the more often the search engine robots will visit your website as well as more it will appear in search engine results.

In the google PageRank system an inbound link is considered as a vote from another page,  a vote gives certain value that can increase linked PageRank. The value that shares another

page is depending on quality of inbound link, PageRank and amount of outbound links on that page. The more outbound links on a page will give the less its PageRank. In many cases having an inbound link from PR 6 page will give significant effect to our PR. But if in fact the page has 100 outbound links to other sites, PR increase will be nearly zero.

Also If a page has only PR 2, but there is only an outbound link, then PR increase will be more compared page with 100 outbound links and PR 6.

Google doesn’t only count incoming-links that had by page. Google looks at more than voting the page only, but google also analyzes the page that get vote. Vote got by page of course considered vital and can help another page becoming vital.

Outbound Link

The reason of bloggers to place outbound links basically beside making reference about relevance of certain contents, braiding a friendship to bloggers and hoping to get some backlinks.

But It needs to be noticed is how to optimize the outbound links in order that having excellent effect and more beneficial

The following some Tips to optimize the quality outbound links in order to excellent effect and more beneficial :

Give a quality outbound link on the posting

A blogger gives an outbound link one other thing to help a popularity other sites or blogs. But remember this influences to your reputation if the blogs have terrible contents.

Give an outbound link to a new blog

Most bloggers give the outbound links only to senior blogs, but it is not incorrect if you give a link to beginner or your fans. So they likely will give backlink to your blog without asking to exchange links. This is a part of marketing strategy to start building an online business network.

Giving some like links to your friends.

There is no more excellent way to strengthen a friendship string to bloggers moreover friend that you have known long, by giving some outbound links is real act to recognize that he is your friend

Answer an inbound link to a blog

Giving backlink to a blog that links to your blog particularly if one network , by condition that link is really relevant with your content

The outbound link as adding information

This means in order that blog visitors getting more a reference and adding information from the one of your more specific article

Strengthen the posting by outbound link

Giving an outbound link to reputable web site, for example to wikipedia.org. if it is relevant this will give excellent effect to your posting and give more value on your article in search engine eyes.

Adding Some New Pages

Adding some new pages can influence PageRank. If we take a look at the site, It has some inbound links from other sites. Each page of the site has its own page rank. When a page is added to the site, and the page will be linked to from one or more other pages. The new page will get the PageRank from other pages, and other pages on the site will lose its own PageRank. While total PageRank will increase. The more new pages added the greater page rank loss among existing pages.

Distribution of PageRank loss from each page depends on structure of the links. The more uniform PageRank is distributed by the links within a site, the more even page rank loss among pages.

Adding a new page can increase the total of PageRank but it will reduce existing page’s Page Rank on the site. Better way is increasing some inbound links from other sites to balance effect of adding page. Another way is linking to the new pages such a way within the site that the vital pages don’t suffer.

February 9th, 2010

If you are ecommerce developer and program web site integration with back office accounting system, Microsoft Dynamics GP, then likely you are deploying eConnect SDK software development to go placed orders and customer payments to GP Sales Order Processing module.  eConnect does wonderful job – it makes or updates customer record, makes SOP batch and customer invoice with deposit in the batch made.  So far everything is gorgeous, now you need just as small step to accomplish your work, post the batch made right from your e-commerce application, and here you got surprised by understanding that eConnect doesn’t post batches, it doesn’t has this functionality.  We want to review Autoposting Server, designed and maintained by Alba Spectrum Dexterity development team

1.       GP Dexterity Source code involvement in the batch posting.  Dynamics.DIC dictionary has native GP Dexterity functionality to post batch of various origin and in essence all the origins.  But it is not obvious, even for Fantastic Plains Dexterity programmer with decent experience in coding on how to design autopost and how to deploy native Dex posting logic.  GP Autopost resolves this dilemma and all you need to do as programmer is to place batch record into custom batch posting status table

2.       Posting all the way automatic from your e-commerce website.  In GP posting path is defined in posting settings.  If you set GP to post SOP invoices all the way through AR module to GP General Ledger – complete automating will be achieved

3.       Third Party Add-Ons batch posting.  Add-Ons, designed by GP ISV partners have their own ways to make and post batches within their satellite modules, but when transactions in the posting cycles will reach Fantastic Plains, Dexterity posting process will take over and so there is high chance that Alba Spectrum Autopost will do the job.  We encourage you to check with us

RSS Explained in Plain English

February 9th, 2010

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a method of delivering web content to users that does not necessarily require a web browser. If you want RSS clarified in plain English, then read this article to gain a greater understanding of this technology.

Users can be updated as soon as new content is added. RSS is most commonly used on blogs and news sites. Website owners can then syndicate the RSS feeds so other sites can publish the content (sometimes just the titles of the new content is published).

RSS has countless benefits. It lets regular web users keep up to date with your content. Some people are simply too busy, or they forget to check their favorite websites regularly.

RSS lets them subscribe to your feed, notifying them when your site has been updated. They can then either read the new content in their RSS reader or click the link through to your website. It is up to you to choose whether you will deliver the full content to their reader, or just the title and summary of the new post or article.

RSS feeds can increase your traffic significantly. Just by letting your readers know that your site has been updated, you can bring people back over and over again.

To ensure that people click through to your site, make your RSS titles compelling and exciting. By also generating curiosity, people are more likely to visit your site. That is why summary RSS feeds are ideal in many situations, rather than full feeds.

RSS feeds should be a part of your search engine optimization and traffic generation strategy and as such, you should endeavor to stick to your SEO strategy as much as possible.

If you are using a blog platform like Wordpress for your site then no work on your part is required to generate a RSS feed. Wordpress automatically makes a feed and provides a subscribe link in your navigation. There are also many Wordpress plugins that control and customize RSS feeds.

To receive an RSS feed, users just need a feed reader. Many email programs, such as Mozilla Thunderbird, now offer RSS feed readers. Some other well loved RSS feed readers include:

AmphetadeskFeedReaderNewsGator

To add a feed to your reader, simply find the URL of the RSS feed on the website or blog you want to track. Sometimes the URL will be given to you; other times you may need to right click on the RSS icon and select “copy link location” or similar command.

Then simply paste this URL into your reader Add Feed window and the 10 latest news feeds will automatically downloaded (webmasters may choose more or less than ten).

In addition to software there are also internet based feed readers such as Google Reader, Bloglines, Feedbucket, RocketRSS Reader, and My Yahoo. Whichever method your users prefer to use, they will reap the benefits of RSS feeds and updates from your site as they happen.

Now that I have clarified RSS to you in plain English, you can start using it as part of your marketing plot. RSS provides visitors with an brilliant way to track new content on their favorite websites. On the other hand, webmasters will like being able to syndicate their new content to many readers, whilst gaining potential traffic and increased earnings from their site.

Social Networking Security and Safety Precautions

February 8th, 2010

Kids and teenagers tend to browse social networking sites a lot – it is where they get news, meet new friends and share pictures or videos among other things that they can do in these sites. But, social networking sites prove to make kids and teens vulnerable as they post personal information for the whole internet world to see, making them simple preys for online predators.

Here are some tips that will help in protecting kids and teens when they browse and use social networking sites:1.Know the site – you won’t know what you’re dealing with until you’ve checked it out for yourself. Read the privacy policy, terms of usage and conduct, find out which kinds of people use the site.2.Review pages – it would be best if you knew what your child or teen is putting on his/her profile page. Try to look at it objectively – meaning, you don’t intrude into their private lives as long as they aren’t doing anything incorrect. Although if you see something on their pages that are against your rules, talk to them about it and tell them to remove it.3.Set internet rules – just as you have house rules, you must be clear about setting some internet rules that the kids must abide with, otherwise, they lose their browsing privileges.4.Don’t let kids and teens meet anyone they met online – with all the news we hear about online predators and their young victims, I reckon this point is clear enough and self-explanatory. We don’t want our kids to be the next one to be reported.5.Private information should remain private – remind your kids and teens not to use their real names, or at the very least, not their full names. They should also know that home addresses, landline numbers, web messenger ids and cellphone numbers must not be publicly seen on their profiles. If possible, they shouldn’t be putting those at all.6.Look for alternatives – there are a lot of social networking sites today, and some offer a excellent security measure to avoid anything that we don’t want to happen. Especially to our children. Advice your kids and teens to set the privacy of their profiles, limiting the views only to people they personally know.7.Be cautious about media – photographs and personal videos must not give away personal details like addresses, schools and car plates. Be sure to check the pictures and videos that your children are uploading.8.Emotions should be kept in check – kids, teens especially, tend to post highly-emotional entries on their blogs that some social networking sites provide. Advise them not to do this often as they tend to become more vulnerable to online predators. Warn them about the danger they might be in if they keep posting their personal feelings this way.9.Use web filters – this can help in keeping your kids and teens away from the terrible sites, images, videos and other online materials that they should not be exposed to.10.Removing profile pages – if all else fails, you can contact the webmasters of the social networking sites your children belong to and question them to delete your child’s profile permanently. These are just some basic steps on how to protect your kids and teens from the dangers social networking sites may pose. There are other things that a parent can do if they feel that their child really is in danger, but it is always a excellent thought to apply the necessary precautions to avoid dealing with something larger and nastier in the future.

Automatically Tweet Your News or Blog

February 8th, 2010

Twitter is a fantastic tool. But it doesn’t replace blogging – although it can suppliment it. There is a fantastic service out there called TwitterFeed that will take any RSS feed and send new posts to your Twitter account automatically. That is fantastic because people who are interested in your Tweets are probably also interested in your blog and this way you can promote your blog with no extra effort. And don’t forget you can use RSS feeds to automatically send new posts from your news or blog to other blogs, Facebook, etc.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is basically a micro blog. So instead of writing a long, thought out post, you can keep it small and sweet. In fact, you have to, as each “tweet” is only allowed 140 characters. You can tweet text, links and even photos and you can do it from your computer and even from your cell phone.

So why tweet? Excellent question. It’s a fantastic way to let friends and family know what you’re up to and share the small things that happen in your day. Often people use it for sharing a random amusing thought or a fantastic website link or a photo of their kids. Professionally it’s a fantastic way to find other people with similar interests and learn from them and share things you’ve found to be helpful too. Often people use Twitter for posting questions to friends and colleagues as well.

Recently Twitter added the ability to search tweets. This is huge. Now you can see trends of what people are talking about right this second, unlike searching on Google and finding pages that were indexed days or even weeks ago. It’s like a giant, world-wide chat room. For example, your wife may be a huge American Idol Fan (This is all hypothetical, of course). You could search on the term “Idol” and find what a bazillion other people are talking about right that second regarding American Idol. And it’s usually pretty amusing. Will Twitter replace Google….I doubt it, but it does have it’s place for searching for things that are very time sensitive, like news.
