    yeah I know what you mean. I was honestly sure that was how they did it, but it seemed as though only one guitar was recorded at some times. thanks mate

    No. They would record two guitar tracks at least, permanently. If there was only one riff to be tracked, they would still record both guitars playing it. They only show one or two tracks on this because it would take up too much time otherwise.

    I get the impression from this video that for the sections of the baby book that only require one guitar, they only record one guitar.

    Does this mean that Tom and Tim take it in turns to record these parts? And if so, how do they manage when playing live?
