A signature will allow you to add three of four lines of copy describing you and your business. Every time you post in that forum your signature will show up at the bottom of your post, just like the signature used with email.
TIP: Your sig file should be place together in such a way that the forum readers will be interested in knowing what your website is all about.
2. It makes significance to only join forums that relate to your business and to what you are trying to accomplish. Don’t waste your time posting on a forum that will not bring any targeted traffic to your website.
TIP: Stay away from any forum arguments even if you feel that you have the answers. It is best for you business not to get involved at all.
3. Don’t just post to any thread but look for ones that are getting the most activity, such as in the Main Discussion thread.
4. Start your own thread or topic discussion and get lots of action, especially if your topic is of extreme interest to the group.
5. Using forums can enable you to quickly accumulate tons of backlinks for your website, and backlinks are really what topic most to your success and thus to the search engines.
6. Make an effort to post a few times a week, if not daily. Avoid over posting the same information as this will be considered spamming.

7. A further useful benefit from forum marketing is that you can build credibility among other internet business owners. But only if your posts show that you know what you are talking about and if they contain helpful information.
8. To help ensure that your posts get read, don’t forget to optimize them with the right keywords or phrases so your posts will rank high in the search engines.

Before Spending Your Money-visit Forums

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

All this happens in a fraction of the time it would take you to research your motivation to buy at a website forum. I”ve succumbed to this event with a few hundred dollars (probably a lot more) buying answers. But, prudence warns me to question questions previous to buying. Asking questions (even dumb or poorly phrased ones) teaches more than remitting cash for supposed answers.

Paul A. Samuelson observes, “Excellent questions outrank simple answers.” Most vendors provide plenty of free information, but evenly it fails to address your personal and specific question. Trustworthy answers elude us like Goggle’’s algorithms. Learning answers to marketing and website management baffles and confuses many of us. Internet marketers don”t resolve our muddling as they pop up on our desktop proffering offers and solutions.

Each strives at influential us they possess the right answer, when maybe there is no right answer, or commonsense by now provides the solution. Hold off spending your hard-earned cash! See whether or not you can find it for free, or even if you need that book or software program at all. Question a name with experience who willingly wants to share information; use Forums.

Forums allow you to question courteous questions with an expectation of reasonable answers from friendly people. Most forums require a simple registration and email confirmation. Registering allows you to access the full scope of the forum service. You will then be authorized to post or start threads, respond to threads, send confidential messages to members, and penetrate events in the forum calendar.

A few forums require a fee previous to you may post questions or dialogue with members; but, most are free. Use the free ones for now, but make sure the forum shows thousands of posted threads. Permanently read the guidelines previous to posting. Forums are not an advertisement for your site or newsletter.

Usually, you may append a signature at the end of your post, but review the guidelines so the Administrator does not have to warn you about advertising. Don”t submit a thread previous to searching the forum for an answer. If you don”t find an answer, post a thread in the appropriate forum topic or bearing. Senior forum members monitor posts while contributing their expertise on a wide range of topics.

Purchasing software? Question if a name is using it, or a competitor’’s. Having distress with AdSense scripts? Question for a fix or a resource. Want some constructive web site reviews? Stick your neck out in a forum discussion.

What about a home project? My daughter wants a bench with shelves in her closet. I found a home project forum where suggestions came readily from craftsmen. Just remember to contribute and help others with their inquiries. From advertising to zany script writing, forums may become your first resource.

Consider registering with High Rankings, Best Practices Search Engine Forums, What You Need to Know About, or just penetrate a Google or Yahoo search on your topic of interest.

As an observation, the better forums are powered by vBulletin. This may not mean too much, but the format makes entry and search unforced, and evenly vBulletin formatted forums appear as the most committed discussions.

We can surf anonymously scratching our heads for answers, or we can penetrate a forum. Within the forum we will meet, discuss, learn, and discern our way through the advice given. We might just save ourselves some cash too!

Google Page Rank Falls Short For Forums

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

When it comes to online communities there are some disturbing trends taking place right now. Forum administrators are spending too much time working to improve their Google page rankings, and on search engine optimization in general.
The thought behind this trend is that better page rankings make a community simpler to find. Even if there is a truth to the thought that making your forum rank higher in searches will get you more sign-ups, there are some problems with this line of reasoning.
First of all Google PageRank isn’t really relevant for a forum. A high page rank may help somewhat with SEO, but it will never help to keep the community itself committed. In other words, what excellent is a high search engine ranking and a flood of new visitors if there is no activity in the community to support your member base, and nothing to attract new signups?
In this article we will take a closer look at Google’s page ranking system, and at how it fails when it comes to forums.A Look at Google Page Rank
Previous to we discuss page rankings for forums, let’s cover the PageRank system itself.
Google produced page rankings as an simple way to represent the popularity of a website. The thought behind page rank is that the more links that a website has pointing to it, the more standard the site must be.
To gauge a site’s popularity Google will count the number of one-way links to that site, analyze the popularity of the site that provides a link, and also analyze the relevancy of each link. With this data, Google’s system calculates a page rank. In other words PageRank is a single number that represents the popularity of a web site.
Even if this system works for a fixed website (assuming people aren’t cheating the system by buying relevant links), it doesn’t work well for a forum.Google Page Rank and Forums
For a bulletin board, the page rank numbers are somewhat irrelevant. They do count to a certain degree on the front page of the forum. But the threads themselves (the vital content on the site) are rarely rated properly.
In fact, by the time a single page of a forum has a excellent page rank; it is usually considered an ancient post. The thread may have held the most useful information on the web, and it may get hundreds of answers; but, since no one is between to it, the page rank is still reasonably low.
The same thought holds right for the forums in their entirety. An ancient forum, which no longer houses an committed community, will evenly have a much higher page rank than the newer committed community. The reason for this is reasonably simple. Many people have happened across ancient threads and linked to them to provide information to others. This hasn’t happened with the newer site yet.
What it takes to rank a forum, is a look at aspects that topic to community.Let Page Rank Take Care of Itself, and Focus on the Community
If you wanted a gauge to the shape of an online community you would have to account for many factors. Member count, the activity of those members, thread count, posting activity, and more would be have to be taken into account to gain a picture of where the forum really ranks when compared to a further (the factors that BoardsMD – http://www.boardsmd.com – looks at).
Over time, as more people start to link to the information on the forum, the page rank will grow involuntarily. A forum administrator shouldn’t waste their time working on improving page rankings. The focus should permanently be on the community itself, and on the members. With a healthy committed community, page ranks will take care of themselves, and your site will be more valuable to members since your focus is permanently on forum shape.

Best Online Forums For Generating Free Leads For Your Network Marketing Company

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Posting in network marketing discussion forums is a perfectly free way to generate leads from an extremely targeted audience. But you MUST go about it with professionalism and integrity. If you have never set up a forum profile previous to, now is the time to do so. This expenditure you no cash – just your time.
I have been generating leads from forums for about 3 years. At first, I did it unquestionably the WRONG way. I went into any forum I could find, and I SPAMMED them! I took my well plotted advertisement, started a new thread, and stuck it out there. I was even rude enough to go back a day later to respond to my own thread in order to bump it up! As you can imagine, I expected a lot of terrible responses from the committed participants of the board – and NO leads. Let that be a lesson to you. You never, ever want to go into a discussion board and open a thread with the express purpose of advertising your business. Each and every forum that is business oriented will usually have an advertising section – that is the ONLY place that it is appropriate to post your ad. If you post your ad elsewhere, or hijack a thread about a competitors program, that is considered SPAM. If you include your link in the body of your message, that is also against forum rules and etiquette.
There is only ONE place for your link, and that is in your signature file. Most forums will have a “profile” section that you can access to upload a thumbnail picture (highly recommended), and to add your signature file. Most, but not all, forums use USB codes so that you can link your text. That is, you can make a one line ad and hyperlink it so that it goes frankly to your lead capture page. The code will look like this:
Your One Line Ad
Once your profile is set up correctly, and your signature file is a clickable text link, you are ready to “go.” Look for threads that have been viewed many times and/or have many answers. These are the threads to spend your time in. Once you have found a decent thread that is on a topic that you feel you can speak on – then add your 2¢ to the discussion. Again, you are unification the discussion in progress, and your comment should be relevant to the topic. Just typing in “me too” or “I agree” is NOT the way to go. You want to be respectful and respectable, and watch your grammar and spelling. I know your protect told you that if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. Well, this is particularly right on a message board. You NEVER want to get into an argument on a forum. You want to spread excellent will, helpful advice, and to instill confidence in YOU as a chief. That last part may take a small time, but it’s incredibly vital to your success. If you are going to spend ANY time attempting to generate leads this way, then you must be effectual at this. If you become a “fixed” on the boards and have a presence that people respect, then you can and will generate endless leads. That’s attraction marketing in action!
What kind of boards should you post on? Forums that relate to your business, or relate to a subject you are either very knowledgeable about, or have a fantastic interest in. The first seems obvious – to find targeted, opportunity buyers, post where they are reading. The second is under utilized, and therefore even more powerful! If, for example, you are a gourmet cake maker, find a board where other cake makers worldwide go to discuss the craft. I can virtually guarantee that most of the people on that board will NOT have a business link in their signature file – therefore YOUR link will stand out and will get a lot of clicks, because people are innately curious. They HAVE to click on your signature to find out how you are making cash online!
Use Google to search for relevant forums. Once you have found a few committed boards, save those links in your favorites, and try to post at least five different answers on five different threads at least two times per week. By keeping your signature file at the top of those boards, you cannot help but generate leads!
What are the best online forums to generate leads for your network marketing, mlm or direct sales business? After years of working to generate leads online, there are a few forums that stand out as the best for generating leads. There I have produced specific tracking links for each forum to determine which sites get the most action. You should do the same.
Don’t take my word for it – do your own research here by making a tracking link to your capture page and tracking the hits and conversions. After a few posts over a couple of days, you should be able to determine if the board is committed or not. If you are using aweber, this is a simple thing to do. Simply replicate your capture page for each board and insert a new webform into the new page. That way you will know exactly how many hits and conversions you are getting from each site.
BetterNetworker.com – clearly one of the best! This Network Peddler’s dream social network where you can learn from the best! Fantastic conversion on personalized capture pages here.
WAHM.com Work at home mom’s forum has a section just for networkers! One of the most ‘trolled’ sites online, you will generate fantastic leads from members of the forum, and those who are just reading threads. This site is a Mom’s board- but has many Dads on it too… but I reckon I speak for a lot of Moms on the board when I say there are plenty of other sites for Dad’s to hang out on. Leave WAHM.com to the Moms!
MLM.com has been in place forever! This board doesn’t allow a signature file, but does enable you to add your link to your profile. If you contribute high feature info to discussions here, you will make a very targeted lead. The individual had to go to extra distress to connect with you!
HomeBasedBusinessForums.com- certainly geared to online networkers with extensive content on online marketing techniques.
Remember, Time is Cash, and a self-generated lead is the BEST lead. Spend an hour or so a week posting in forums after you are done with your prospecting and follow up calls for the day. You WILL generate leads from forums and bring more income into your life as a result if you follow the instructions I have outlined!
