4 Of The Best Twitter Tips and the Posts They Came From

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Twitter is one of the best micro-blogging (Web 2.0) channels available online that you can use to communicate with customers and leads. You can also use Twitter for marketing purposes to signal vital information, new blog posts, air force, help desk queries, etc. Twitter search is a fantastic real time search engine built around the messages that are Tweeted by members. If you were looking for real time information on the “Holidays Las Vegas” and what people are saying about it, Twitter Search is the place to find this information. But if you really want to swim with the fearless and benefit from every single go on Twitter, read on.

Studies have shown that it is possible to intentionally make a Peep worthy of a retweet. Question to be retweeted and add the word “please” can be enough to encourage your Followers to do just that.

“What could be more annoying and less useful than a site where thousands of people are given 140 characters to shout out about what they’re doing at every moment of the day? The incredible thing is that enough people out there reckon this mindless stream of ephemera (‘I’m eating a tangerine,’ ‘I’m waiting for a plane,’ ‘I want a Huge Mac’) is appealing enough to serve as the basis for a viable advertising platform.” as Mark Simon wrote back in September 2007.

Wouldn’t it be just fantastic if you could find the most useful tweets and links about the up-to-the-minute most appealing topics online, all in one place? Wouldn’t it be just convenient if you could link that valuable information to the tweeple who posted it so you can have unremitting access to his/her tweets by following him/her accordingly?

Question people to follow you at your Twitter URL. This might seem obvious, but most people still aren’t doing it. I admit, it was lost on me until about a month ago. This needs to be on everything – including your business card. Invite people to follow you by including a question for, hyperlinked to your Twitter profile, in (1) your email signature and (2) the byline under blog posts.

So remember, while there are many help files, ebooks, blog posts available on the internet online for Twitter, the best Twitter Tips tool I have found is the Twitter Traffic Swarm.

A Crucial Question All Businesses Face, and It’s Going to Generate Gazillions of Posts on This Blog?

Who should blog at a company? And what sort of guidelines should they follow?Itâ??s simplest for blogging CEOs, especially those like Jupiter Media CEO Alan Meckler, who owns a huge slug of his company for the help www.feed-reader-links.com. Heâ??s been blogging for a year and a half and gets several thousand page views a day. He says: â??Iâ??m the largest stock holder in my company. If I werenâ??t, Iâ??d be more concerned about what the board would reckonâ?¦ A lot of people, to do what Iâ??m doing, would have to get check offs from the legal department, and to cover their ass.â?Meckler uses his blog to trade thoughts, and to hold up Jupiter’s brand in the blogosphere. He’s not shy about going on the attack. But How about those of us who don’t sit in the corner office. Which of us should blog? Who does it right? Who doesn’t? I’d like to get some discussion on this. Meantime, here are some useful pointers from Susan Solomon, a marketing professor in California. And for those with an extra minute for reading, here are some more nuggets from Meckler. They’re from an interview we did for the cover tale. Lots of interviews didn’t make it into the tale. We’ll look for ways to slip bits and pieces into the blog. How did the blog start?Meckler: â??It looked like an appealing sort of way for the CEO to get the message out. I felt I could turn the blog into Internet media commentary for the help www.rss-announcers.com. I evolved over the next yearI now write more frequently. I write nearly every day, from 50 to 300 or 400 words. Itâ??s remedial, and beneficial for the company.â?Is it frank?Meckler: â??I call it the way I see it, within reason. I write about what I reckon is happening on the Net. I try to weave in as evenly as I can how weâ??re doing as a company, using it as a promotional tool. Iâ??m not trying to hide the fact.â?BW: Does the PR staff oversee it?Meckler: â??I am the PR department. I donâ??t even have a secretary. I have an editorial boss. Occasionally I will confer with him.â?Will blogs be a huge business?Meckler: Iâ??m somewhat jaundiced about the real fiscal impression, in terms of revenue. About 99.99% of all blogs are essentially worthless. Itâ??s a further medium, thatâ??s all it is.Are the comments valuable for you?Meckler: â??I just opened up recently comments on my blog. Some are very critical of me. Unfortunately, spam has found its way to those comments. In any given day, Iâ??ll get 20 to 30 comments. Four are valid, the rest are spam.â?What do you have to watch out for?Meckler: â??Being a public company, one has to be very careful. If I write about the company, Iâ??m not giving away inside information. I donâ??t write this to pump the stock.

It seems that a blog is the property of the owner forever, irrespective whether he is committed or not. But you could try to contact him and then convince him, some how to transfer the URL to you. Excellent luck!

blogging, blogger,blogspot,make cash from blog

Deleting the URL will not make it available to you. it has to be transferred by the owner to you.

Don’t copy from MS Word frankly to your blog-editor.

First copy it to Notepad then copy it from Notepad to your blog-editor.

This blog is open to invited readers only http://adnanboy.blogspot.com/

It doesn’t look like you have been invited to read this blog. If you reckon this is a mistake, you might want to contact the blog author and question for an invitation.

So how do I question for an invitation?

Social Networking: How to Wordpress Blog Posts Auto-loaded to Facebook Notes

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

FaceBook is at the top of the list when Internet marketers mention social networking. The news feed alone makes FaceBook a worthwhile place to be. Now you can share your blog posts with your FaceBook acquaintances without a single keystroke. By setting up this blog feed, your acquaintances will be just one click away. That means hundreds, even thousands of opportunities for new contacts to access to your information.Setting up a blog feed is simple. Just follow these simple steps:1.    Log into your FaceBook account.2.    Go to your Profile Page.3.    In the center of the page is the status box where you can tell everyone what you are doing. To the right of the status box, just beneath the blue rectangle that reads POST, you’ll find a tiny link saying, “Settings” and a tiny asterisk beside it. Click Settings.4.    Under Tales Posted by You, is a line reading, “You can involuntarily import activity from YouTube, Flickr, and Other Air force to your profile.” Click Other Air force.5.    Click on Blog/RSS, and a new box will open up.6.    Place your blog’s RSS feed link in the box. In WordPress, the blog RSS feed URL is http://YOURBLOGNAME.com/?feed=rss27.    Click Import. Now when you post to your blog, the entire post will come up in the Notes of your profile page and a news feed will announce the note. You can go to the Notes page and click on SHARE to tag acquaintances in the Note. You can also place the link for the Note into your FaceBook groups’ pages.

How Do I Edit A Wordpress Page To Display Only The Posts, So Minus The Menubars?

Friday, October 16th, 2009

My goal here is to link the wordpress blog entries to a frame in a personal site. So I want only the blog entries to appear, but none of the menu bars or other things associated with wordpress only what was posted. I know wordpress is done in PHP so i was wondering if anyone knew the specifics of the coding and how I would go about doing this.
Thanks!
