Top 7 Not-So-Interesting Tweets To Turn Off Your Followers
Tuesday, May 18th, 2010Seeing Popular Tweets on Twitter Part1
Monday, May 17th, 2010Social networking sites have given a new life to the offspring of search engine optimization, that is to say, social media optimization and social media marketing.
One of the recent entrants in the field of social media marketing is twitter. The search results shown on Twitter help SEO professionals in properly executing the search engine optimization process on the website.
Twitter’s search results have undergone a drastic exchange in the recent past. The exchange is reasonably evident, at least to people who have used the search column on Twitter.com or search.twitter.com in past weeks. The search results in Twitter now show up to three most standard tweets placed above three most recent tweets.
Apart from the tweets, the search results also show the time of posting and the number of times it was re-tweeted. The new search show suggests that showing this information helps determine the popularity of the tweets.
Reality technician Taylor Singletary clarified various web developers and SMO professionals about what determines the popularity of a peep. He said that it is time to make real-time search even more valuable. This can be done by following simple steps such as sprouting the best tweets on a particular topic. But, you have to pay extra attention to what you choose as your topic. The next thing that is to be considered is that ‘how recent the peep is’ along with the ‘interactions’ that go on those tweets. In other words, you have to analyze the profile of the author and count the number of times the peep has been answered to, re-tweeted, or added to favorites.

Examples Of Effective Tweets On Twitter
Saturday, February 27th, 2010While there are no rules for tweets on Twitter such as there are in English for when to use various condemn constructions, there are better practices for tweets.
And I evenly I notice a name who has missed an opportunity to share valuable information because of not utilizing these better practices.
Here’s an example of an ineffective peep on Twitter:
A name tweeted in a comeback: Fantastic article — thank you.
Only problem is that links to two different articles had been tweeted within the previous half hour. Which article was being referred to? And why not share the link of that article in the person’s peep so others can read this “fantastic article”?
I see this type of missed opportunity over and over again. A name will send a public comeback to a name else with a fantastic article link. The second person will respond thanking the person for the link BUT WITHOUT PROVIDING THE ARTICLE LINK IN THE THANK-YOU TWEET.
And then I get annoyed for two reasons:
1) It’s a missed opportunity for the person sending the original link as well as the person saying thank you.
2) Now I can’t read the article myself because there’s no link attached.
Now what about the other end of the spectrum? The people who only engage in Twitter by tweeting their own blog links. These people are not truly participating on Twitter, and anyone checking out their profile can tell this easily by seeing that all the tweets are blog links.
Let’s now look at an effectual peep on Twitter that doesn’t have a link:
Not all your tweets must have links; for weigh you do want to occasionally peep without a link. Yet even here you want to give some thought to what you are tweeting.
For example, previous to I saw the movie “Invictus” I tweeted that I was about to go see it. I did not include a link – people could figure out for themselves where to look up a review of the movie – yet I tweeted this as an offset to my many tweets with links. I wanted to peep a touch personal but not a touch mundane such as how late I got up today.
As you read the tweets you receive in your Twitter stream, reckon about which ones you appreciate the most and which ones annoy you the most. Then try to emulate the former and eliminate the latter in your own tweets.
What Should Your Tweets on Twitter Be About?
Thursday, February 18th, 2010Figuring out what to peep about on Twitter requires considering your overall Internet marketing plot.
For example, if you are trying to increase the traffic to your blog about books, you may choose to focus on tweeting links to news bits and pieces related to book publishing and book marketing along with the links to your own blog posts. In this way you are establishing yourself as an expert in the book field by both the links you share and the original content you write.
Now let’s take this example a small further. You may choose to sell an ebook on publishing off your website on which your blog also resides. You may start to add into your peep mix occasional announcements about this ebook.
There’s a range of opinions as to how many of your tweets should be what’s called “self-serving” – promoting your own harvest or air force – and how many should be informational or conversational or whatever.
Let’s say, though, that you do not yet have a blog or a website or a business of any kind that you want to promote.
What to peep about in this case? Do you have any leisure activities or wellbeing?
Perhaps you are an advocate for a green environment. Then you could peep information that you want to share about going green, such as links to books, news articles, and blog posts. You can add your opinions about the articles you are between to in order to personalize your tweets.
You are establishing a brand for yourself even though you made never use that brand in connection with business. Still, you have a early point from which to morph into a new brand if that’s what you choose to do.
Even previous to you get on Twitter you should choose what to peep about. Will you be emphasizing your political views (an arena in which you want to be careful that your tweets do not come back to bite you) or your gardening wellbeing?
Once you have made this choice, you can use Twitter’s own search capabilities or a third-party application such as tweetbeep.com to alert you when there are tweets connected to the topics on which you peep. Then you can jump into the conversation and comeback to people who are tweeting about these topics.
You can also follow Twitter lists that are on subjects of interest to you in order to easily footstep tweets connected to your topics.
As you participate more and more on Twitter, you will start to follow people whose tweets you find especially valuable. You can study their tweets in order to choose which tweets you reckon are most effectual in attracting followers. Then you can emulate the patterns you uncover.
Warning: Whatever you do, do NOT peep in rage or use swear words or viciously attack a name. This is not proper etiquette and can quickly lose many of the followers you worked so hard to get – if not getting you kicked off Twitter.
3 Recruiting Tools for Targeted Tweets on Twitter
Wednesday, February 17th, 2010Recruiters are jumping into the world of tweeting at an amazingly astonishing rate. At such speed most will forget to make a plot and as a result leave themselves highly vulnerable to irreversible reputation hurt.
Previous to posting tweets by the dozen it is vital to answer some critical questions.
Are all my tweets relevant to each of my followers?
Do I know that my tweets are search engine friendly and can be stable?
Are any of my tweets potentially damaging to me or my company?
Am I considered a spammer?
If you’re an avid reader of my blog (Andre Condurache Blog) you will know that I delight in reviewing new recruitment technology, therefore I have found 5 innovative twitter applications that can help recruiters make their tweets less “spammy” and more targeted in turn helping them with their sourcing objectives.
Tweetizen is one of my favorite applications for filtering your followers via wellbeing and groups.
What I found really useful is the ability to make a list of keywords and/or hashtags and then filter tweets based on this list.
For example, if I was sourcing Java Developers I could streamline my tweets based on keywords that are being used by potential candidates. At the same time I could use this feature for business development, for example by identifying employers posting jobs through Twitter that are also related to my chosen keywords.
The application also allows you to embed the filtered stream on a further webpage, thus giving you the ability to share information on your careers website or blog. This is more effectual when compared to the standard widget found frankly from Twitter.com which displays every single peep you post and receive.
Hot To Start – Step 1: Login to Tweetizen.com and click on the link that says Make Group. Make sure to select Your Interest when prompted with the pop up window – this will give you the option to filter by keywords and/or hashtags
How To Start – Step 2: After you have selected Your Wellbeing click on Advanced Options. You can now penetrate keywords that are relevant to your industry or market. I have chosen to target Java Developers therefore I have produced some keywords related to this candidate market.
A further Twitter application similar to Tweetizen is Filttr. But, I found Filttr to be slightly more feature-rich and powerful in its overall functionality.
One thing that I liked about Filttr is a feature that enables you to prioritize your followers by the tweets they post. For example, if an employer posts a peep about a new job opening I will be able to increase the number of tweets I receive from that person making it simpler to keep an eye out for new vacancies. At the same time I can also decrease tweets from people I place at lower priority.
A further very useful feature is the ability to attach documents and files to your tweets which is fantastic if you are trying to send out detailed job descriptions or brochures/proposals to potential employers.
How To Start – Step 1: With Filttr you can first start by prioritizing the tweets you receive. You can either do this from the Settings area (shown not more than) or as you receive individual tweets.
How To Start – Step 2: Filttr has a very advanced keyword filtering tool. You have a lot of options (as shown not more than) and you also have the option of making groups of keywords (or Aliases as Filttr likes to call them)
TweetWorks is probably the simplest application for filtering tweets. With TweetWorks you can make public and confidential groups.
One distinctive advantage of making confidential groups is the ability to filter outgoing tweets and only communicate with group members. This can work to your advantage if you want to generate more referrals, as confidential conversations tend to be more effectual for relationship building.
How To Start – Step 1: Only one simple step with TweetWorks!
Tweets for My Tweetheart: 5 Ways to Use Twitter to Jazz Up Your Love Life
Saturday, January 23rd, 2010Last Monday, I was at Social Media Simplified where I cultured about how social media can be used for business. Mari Smith, Deb Micek, Simon Leung, Denise Wakeman (1/2 the Blog Squad), Nancy Marmolejo, and host Linda P. Taylor blew us away with the statistics on how Facebook, blogging and Twitter are radically varying the entrepreneurial environment of the world. Practical, simple tips for things you can do today to start maximizing your social media relations.
I loved every minute saturated up the info like a sponge. It wasn’t until I got home, though, that I realized Twitter could be a fun tool for building a romantic relationship as well.
For all of you who are saying, “What in the world is Twitter?”, I can relate. I started hearing about Twitter last summer and joined in August. Twitter leads the way in the world of micro blogging. Micro because you can only use 140 characters in any one message. Blog because you are communicating to the internet world with your thoughts and thoughts.
Once you join, you pick a handle (remember Rubber Ducky from the trucker and cb days?) and you are excellent to go, mine is CaptainCat. Question your acquaintances to join and the fun starts. I like making conversations with the 140 character limit. It’s a fantastic game!
Deb Micek (CoachDeb at Tribal Seduction) revamped my view of Twitter and the tweets (that is what the messages are called) and I started to see that the Twitter mentality might just be a fantastic tool build some nice buzz in the beehive, if you know what I mean.
Here are Five Ways to Use Twitter To Jazz Up Your Like Life!
1. Invest Your Emotional Self. Consciously delight in your relationships on Twitter. I like to peep (make the messages). Similar to crossword puzzles and other word games, Twitter engages your creativity, your thoughts and your communication skills. Allow yourself to feel the satisfaction of connection. Your man may not engage with you in this same way and that is ok. You can feel connected to others and fill your emotional tank.
2. Invite him to join. Your man may roll his eyes at your internet fun, but if you place your mind to it, you can find a way to invite his participation. You may be his only friend for awhile and he may want to DM (direct message) you only, but if you sell it to him as a word game, tell him it is simpler than instant messaging and that you will send him some cute and maybe even naughty messages, he may just give it a try.
3. Be Patient. If he declines your first invitation, don’t despair. You keep having fun on Twitter, but, and listen up here…this is critical, stop tweeting when you and he are at the dinner table, taking a walk or being together in any way. You will communicate boatloads to him when he sees you turn off your phone or computer and really “Be” with him.
4. Introduce Him To The Fun Of Tweets. Make some tweets and place them on post it notes and place them around the house where your man can see them. If you like using abbreviations, use them but let him know what they mean. LOL (laughing out loud) We fall into the lingo so easily, we forget others don’t know what it is all about. Your man will appreciate getting up to speed with Twitterese and he won’t feel out of place.
5. Every Day Peep Mentality: Ladies, it is incredible how much can be said in a 140 character statement. Try having a Twitter mentality when you are speaking to your man. How briefly can you say what you need to say and yet still be understood. Men have such a hard time with the verbal flood that comes out of our mouths, bless them. Do him and yourself a favor and peep to you man. Keep it fleeting and simple. He will like you for it!
If you are a beginner in the world of social media and even if you are a veteran, I strongly recommend you get yourself a copy of the Social Media Simplified DVD series. I would have saved myself hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars has I known how to use social media like Facebook and Twitter strategically in my business. Linda has a special deal going so don’t waste a further minute, order your copy today.
One other cool thing is that a part of the buy price goes to support the Ventura Technical Development Center. Talk about a win-win-win!
